Champagner-Polka (Champagne Polka) is subtitled "A musical joke". It was written in 1858 for Strauss's tour of Russia, where he performed at Pavlovsk, Saint Petersburg. The trio section quotes a popular tavern song by the Hungarian composer János Fusz (Johann Fuß) called Mir is’ alles ans (What do I care).
