Fauré's 'Requiem' is one of the best loved and frequently performed choral works. Although composed for choir and chamber orchestra, it is often heard accompanied by the organ. Performers usually have to work from idiosyncratic piano reductions or organ parts that are unnecessarily complex, often requiring four hands for a complete performance. This reduction by Iain Farrington is a practical and straightforward version for organ that is playable by one person on any two manual instrument.
